  • A rounded clock
    We are: me and he.
    I am the one hand
    And he the other.
    Sometimes
    I’ll step forward
    And he backward
    Or else
    He‘ll be forward
    And I backward.
    We push the time together
    And move on
    Weave many circles too.
    Sometimes somewhere
    In a day
    We meet each other
    And fasten ourselves in
    Each other’s arms
    And feel hot
    I am not there
    Without him,
    And he without me.
    Should we move,
    We should move together.
    And should we halt,
We should halt together at once.

    Beautiful poem!
    I enjoyed the poem.

    Dear Sunath sir,
Thank you so much for your words of appreciation and encouragement. I feel very much satisfied to know that you have enjoyed my translation. Actually this was the poem I found in kannada text book presently prescribed for BBM degree in Bangalore University. This time when I went to Bangalore on my holidays, I just happened to see it accidentally from my old colleague's book and I was really attracted towards the poem very much.I copied it immediately in my diary. After coming back to Libya, I did translate it into english. Once again thank you so much for your beautiful comment.
    Regards
